About the Role
We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee civil engineering projects within our Defence team, managing infrastructure works across the UK and overseas in safety and operationally critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
2. Site supervision and health & safety management
3. Managing labour, staff, and subcontractors
4. Producing method statements and risk assessments
5. Site cost/value control and programming
6. Client liaison and reporting
7. Organising plant & materials
8. Overseeing construction activities and quality control
9. Maintaining documentation and records in accordance with company procedures
Candidate Requirements
* Experience as a Site Agent/Site Manager or similar role in civil engineering
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Project management experience in safety-critical environments
* Knowledge of safety regulations (CDM) and NEC contracts
* Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills
* Proven experience managing civil engineering projects
* MS Project proficiency, SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, full clean driving license, IT literacy
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
