A boutique global consultancy that partners with fast-moving, disruptive businesses across fintech, crypto, and cybersecurity is looking to strengthen its internal HR capability at its London HQ.
They’re now hiring an HR Manager to step in during a period of maternity leave. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll report to the Head of HR and work closely with the newly appointed CPO. You’ll lead and develop a small HR team, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and drive both strategic and operational HR initiatives – spanning performance, engagement, learning, and people data.
You’ll be at the heart of the action – advising leadership, shaping the employee experience, and coaching your team to deliver meaningful results.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead, support, and coach a small internal team – fostering collaborative and a high-performance culture within the People team
* Deliver full generalist HR support across employee relations, performance, compensation input, talent planning, and compliance
* Oversee learning & development – supporting the delivery of engaging, tailored training with support from a L&D Coordinator
* Oversee recruitment ensuring timely hiring practices including job scoping, interview planning, and training on effective, fair interviewing techniques
* Oversea the reporting function to track key metrics and translate data into insight to guide leadership decision-making
* Lead and evolve processes to drive operational excellence
* Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, inclusion, and wellbeing
Looking for someone who combines people leadership with practical HR know-how and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.
* HR generalist experience circa. 5-7 years, ideally in smaller, agile businesses or scale-ups
* Prior people management skills and experience coaching junior team members
* Data-savvy mindset with confidence interpreting and acting on HR metrics
* Experience with UK employment law and HR compliance
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and evolving team needs
* CIPD qualification preferred, but not essential
