We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join our team based in Cheadle, Staffordshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £40,000+ per annum depending on experience.

From our UK base in Cheadle, Staffordshire we produce food packaging, sachets, shrink sleeves, self‑adhesive labels, airline bag tags, tickets and much more.
About the Quality Manager role
As the Quality Manager, you will support the business of Quality/Environmental/Health and Safety by providing a controlled compliance service and technical assistance across the Group.
Key responsibilities
* Ensure the Quality Assurance procedures are complied with.
* Control and manage environmental impacts and establish best practice.
* Manage and coordinate BRCGS and FSC audits, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
* Resolve any areas of non‑compliance (BRCGS).
* Support with document control, corrective and preventative actions and trend analysis.
* Work with site representatives to manage quality management and operating procedures, including hygiene operations, allergen management and pest control.
* Aid in supporting technical queries related to packaging compliance with PPWR or Pack UK regulations in the UK or EU.
* Be accountable for completing internal (first‑party) audits to support compliance assurance, audits and risk objectives.
* Work with all departments to ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to and legislation is updated.
* Chair health and safety meetings and create a safer culture by implementing effective solutions.
Ideal candidate
* At least IOSH trained with experience in health and safety risk assessments.
* Experience of BRCGS and managing the system.
* Able to report and investigate quality issues.
* Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required.
* Good time management with a flexible approach to work.
* Effective prioritization of workload to meet set deadlines.
* Clear and positive communication skills, fostering an open and collaborative culture.
* Recognition of the importance of continuous improvement and a positive attitude to change.
