As an HR Officer, you will provide practical advice and hands-on support across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and HR administration, ensuring processes are accurate, data-driven and aligned with employment law and best practice. Working closely with managers and colleagues, the HR Officer will play a key role in maintaining HR systems, supporting casework and contributing to continuous improvement across colleague services. DUTIES Your duties as the HR Officer include: Employee Relations Support: Providing first-line HR advice on employee relations matters Case Management Support: Supporting disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes, including minute taking and accurate record keeping Policy Support: Assisting with the review, development and implementation of HR policies Recruitment Administration: Managing full-cycle recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and interview coordination Onboarding Coordination: Facilitating onboarding processes and completing all pre-employment checks Transactional HR Activities: Supporting contract changes, offers of employment and HR data updates HR Systems Management: Maintaining accurate employee records and producing reports and dashboards Data Protection Compliance: Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Previous experience in a similar HR or people services role A good understanding of UK employment law, HR best practice and right to work requirements High levels of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication, organisation and relationship building skills Experience of taking accurate and confidential meeting minutes Experience of working with HR databases and systems Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint Ability to build and maintain effective professional working relationships DESIRABLE Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent CLOSING DATE: 12th February 2026 INTERVIEWS: Face to face interviews will take place in Gravesend HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV along with a short cover letter detailing your reasons for applying and why you feel you are suitable.
