Job Description
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of an NHS MRI Unit Fit-Out project in Southend-on-Sea.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with experience delivering healthcare, medical, or highly regulated fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of site activities and subcontractors
- Ensuring health & safety compliance across the project
- Coordinating trades and managing project programmes
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
- Liaising with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Managing quality control and site documentation
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with NHS and project requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering fit-out projects
- Previous healthcare, NHS, MRI, CT, or clinical environment experience desirable
- Valid SMSTS
- Valid CSCS Card
- Current First Aid at Work Certificate
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively
