Job Title: Site Manager No.2 (Carpentry Biased) Location: Newcastle - Old Student Accommodation Start Date: 14th July (Potentially a Week Later) Duration: 12 Months Working Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm or 7:30am-4:30pm Free On-Site Parking Available Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager No.2 with a carpentry background to support the lead manager on a multi-block refurbishment project in central Newcastle. The role involves assisting with coordination across three blocks running concurrently, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety and second fix carpentry. Key Responsibilities: Assist the lead Site Manager with day-to-day site operations. Ensure high Health & Safety standards across all working areas. Monitor and control student foot traffic through active site management. Carry out photographic site records and documentation via ProCore, with annotated comments. Take a hands-on approach to checking and supporting on-site trades. Support document control and H&S record keeping. Oversee significant second fix carpentry works, including: Removal and installation of door frames and fittings Ceiling adjustments Installation of student kitchens Requirements: Carpentry background with experience in second fix and refurbishment Strong understanding and enforcement of Health & Safety on site Proficient in site documentation and digital tools like ProCore (or willingness to learn) Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a busy environment To Apply: Please submit your CV and availability details.
