Offer description

Staffright Group are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects on site. The successful candidate will be a confident leader, acting as the main client interface while managing teams, subcontractors, health & safety, quality and programme delivery to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Location: In and around Northeast Cambridge and West Norfolk

* Strong commitment to the company's personal approach to commercial contracting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and supply chain partners.
* Highly self-motivated with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
* Ability to assist the Contracts Manager and manage junior site team members.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Full responsibility for daily running and organisation of commercial construction sites.
* Ability to anticipate and resolve site issues efficiently.
* Maintain orderly and accurate site records and documentation.
* Willingness to travel across the operating region and lodge away when required.


Experience & Technical Requirements


Time Management

* Control the progression of works by scheduling trades in line with construction programmes on commercial sites.
* Develop short-term programmes with awareness of risk management challenges (experience with ASTA Powerproject desirable).


Cost Control

* Work within project budgets.
* Review and manage subcontractor variations.
* Control site labour and subcontractors cost-effectively.


Quality

* Interpret drawings and specifications accurately for commercial builds.
* Maintain exceptional workmanship standards and detailed quality records.


Health & Safety

* Strong working knowledge of current UK H&S regulations.
* Implement and manage site Health & Safety plans across commercial projects.
* Oversee all on-site safety compliance.


Essential / Desirable Qualifications

* CSCS card
* SMSTS
* First Aid at Work
* Temporary Works Coordinator
* Asbestos Awareness
