Location: Liskeard Head Office / Hybrid Role Purpose: The purpose of the Senior Developer role within Wildanet is to ensure that the organisation has reliable, accurate, and well‑structured data enabling leaders and teams to make informed, confident commercial decisions. A core purpose of this role is to provide governance and oversight, ensuring that raw data from multiple systems are integrated into clear, validated and meaningful information sources. Main Responsibilities: The Senior Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, managing data models and semantic layers, delivering high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business requirements. This role partners closely with business leaders and operational teams to translate reporting needs into actionable insights, improving decision-making, transparency, and overall business performance. Key Activities: While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest data from operational systems (e.g. CRM, finance, network, marketing platforms) into the enterprise data warehouse. Develop and manage robust data models (e.g. star schemas, fact/dimension structures) that ensure consistency, performance, and alignment with agreed business definitions. Implement and optimise ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into trusted, well-structured datasets suitable for analytics and reporting. Establish and maintain semantic layers that provide clear, governed business metrics and KPIs for use across reporting tools. Deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to stakeholder requirements, ensuring usability, clarity, and performance optimisation. Work closely with business leaders and operational teams to translate reporting needs into actionable analytical outputs that support decision-making. Implement data quality controls, validation processes, and reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reporting data. Monitor pipeline performance, data refresh cycles, and warehouse efficiency, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or failures. Maintain documentation covering data lineage, model structures, transformation logic, and report definitions to support transparency and governance. Continuously improve the data platform by identifying opportunities to enhance automation, scalability, performance management, and insight generation across the organisation.
