Job Details
* Title: Data Architect
* Grade: GG10-GG11
* Referral Bonus: £5,000
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze requirements and design data usage, manipulation, and processing strategies.
* Develop data models, especially for relational databases.
* Utilize strong SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL is advantageous. Proficiency in Python and Java is required.
* Experience with Elastic Search/Open Search, AWS storage, and Apache Kafka is desirable.
* Use software development tools such as version control and CI pipelines.
* Adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Skills & Experience
* Design, review, or build data models and code accordingly.
* Understand data compliance, security, and privacy regulations.
* Prioritize maintainability and quality in code development.
* Continuously improve technical knowledge and data domain expertise.
* Apply appropriate data development methods and techniques.
* Ensure high-quality, timely delivery with adequate testing coverage.
* Review and provide feedback on colleagues' code.
* Understand the development lifecycle, including testing and support.
* Estimate project timelines accurately and work collaboratively within teams.
* Display professionalism and respect, fostering a motivating team environment.
* Reflect on and improve personal performance.
