We’re recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take on a temporary assignment, supporting the effective day‑to‑day operation of a busy, multi‑use site. This is a practical, visible role, suited to someone with strong maintenance knowledge, a proactive approach and confidence working independently while supporting others.
Day to Day
* Carrying out hands‑on maintenance and repairs across buildings and external areas (carpentry, basic plumbing, decorating and general building works).
* Supporting and delivering planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and well‑presented.
* Undertaking health & safety and statutory compliance checks, maintaining accurate records.
* Acting as a keyholder, supporting site security and responding to call‑outs or emergencies when required.
* Working closely with cleaning and facilities colleagues, helping coordinate tasks and maintain high standards.
* Liaising with and supervising external contractors on site.
* Supporting the setup of rooms and spaces for events and day‑to‑day operations.
We Would Love to See
* Proven experience in a site management, facilities, caretaking or building maintenance role.
* A strong practical skillset with the ability to fault‑find and carry out repairs independently.
* Good working knowledge of health & safety and safe systems of work.
* A reliable, organised and flexible approach, with the ability to respond calmly to changing priorities.
* Comfortable working as part of a team, while also taking responsibility for your own workload.
Experience working in an education or similar environment would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
