Day to Day Responsibilities
Teammate Interaction – work alongside folks like Project Manager, Coordinators, UX / UI Designers and other friendly Dev's as part of a larger team.
* Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliableLaravelapplications.
* Develop and integrateRESTful APIsand third-party services.
* Deployment of applications & services
* Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices.
* Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between systems.
* Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions.
* Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
* Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning.
Must Have's
* 3+ yearsof professional experience usingLaravel
* Strong understanding ofMVC architecture,ORMs (Eloquent), andservice containers.
* Experience withMySQLdatabases, including schema design and query optimisation.
* Solid understanding ofAPI development(REST, JSON).
* Proficient inGitand modern version control workflows (GitHub/Bitbucket).
* Experience withqueuing systems(e.g. Laravel Queues, Redis, RabbitMQ).
* Familiarity with containerisationand deployment processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working in hybrid teams.
* Experience withAWS / Azure / DigitalOceanor other cloud platforms.
* Knowledge offront-end frameworks(e.g. Blade, React) for API integration.
* Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in the Laravel community.
* Working knowledge of unit testing and automated testing tools
