Job Description:
Applebridge Construction is a highly respected civil engineering contractor situated in the North East of England and Yorkshire regions. As part of the Applebridge Family, a group of eight construction companies covering a wide range of construction disciplines, they offer a regional service with an expert team of specialists that brings decades of collective industry experience.
Having worked in partnership with a variety of clients across an array of industries they have specialist experience across Speculative housing, Social housing, Health and Social care, Education, Law and Order, Retail, Infrastructure and Energy. With a strong focus on collaboration, Applebridge’s approach is to engage early, offering pre-construction assistance, design advice, risk assessment, programme rationalisation and value engineering.
As part of their continued expansion, they are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee sites throughout the North East. With responsibility for daily site operations, you will help ensure the project is delivered safely on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This will include:
* Ensuring all Operatives and Subcontractors are: Properly inducted onto SiteIssued with and use the correct PPE and work in a safe mannerCompetent and have the necessary qualifications to carry out works to the highest quality standards
* Observing and maintaining all Health and Safety and Environmental Management standards
* Establishing standards of Quality on Site and ensuring delivery of build in accordance with project specifications and requirements
* Delivering works in the most economic manner to reduce waste and avoid non recoverable costs
* Understanding clients’ priorities and adopting a professional and considerate approach ensuring excellent working relationships are maintained.
Applicants should possess previous experience of ‘hands on’ management and delivery of Construction/Civil engineering projects, especially Groundworks. You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude coupled with the ability to challenge the status quo and make things happen. CSCS card is essential with SSSTS/SMSTS accreditation being an advantage. Driving Licence essential.
