Reed is currently partnering with a prestigious client to recruit an experienced Estates & Operations Manager. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Estates and Facilities department, ensuring the delivery of a range of services and varied functions at a vibrant educational campus. What Will You Do? As the Estates & Operations Manager, you will support the Head of Estates and Facilities in: Ensuring Effective Operations: Oversee the daily delivery of estate operations, capital projects, and statutory compliance. Your leadership will ensure the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, keeping the estate presentable and functional. Strategic Project Management: Collaborate with senior stakeholders including the Director of Finance and IT & Facilities to deliver an ambitious estate development programme. Your strategic input will be crucial in developing annual capital programmes and managing the Estates and Facilities budget. Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team encompassing Maintenance, Logistics, Domestic teams, and Reception services. Your guidance will be key in fostering a productive work environment and ensuring all mandatory training is completed. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain rigorous health and safety standards across the campus, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and managing the asbestos register and management plan. What Do You Need to Succeed? Proven Experience: Over 3 years of management experience in a similar role, with a background in building maintenance or building services maintenance within a customer-focused environment. Strong Regulatory Knowledge: Excellent understanding of compliance regulations within an Estates/Facilities environment and Health and Safety in the Workplace. Leadership Skills: Experience in staff leadership, management, and development, capable of directing a team to achieve excellent results. Project Management Prowess: Skilled in budget management, procurement, tendering, and the delivery of PPM and capital programs. Advanced IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office packages, CAFM, BMS, and NET2, enhancing your ability to manage projects and maintain essential data. Educational and Professional Qualifications: Facilities/Building Services/M&E/Surveying or a related subject at level 5 or above or equivalent experience. NEBOSH or IOSH minimum. Why Join Us?
