Now Recruiting: SR163 Site Managers (Civils / M&E)
We're looking for experienced SR163 Site Managers with strong Civils or M&E backgrounds to lead and manage all site-based operations on a National Grid substation projects. You will act as the contractor's on-site senior manager, overseeing performance, compliance, quality, HSE, subcontractor coordination and project delivery.
What we're looking for:
Essential Qualifications & Certificates:
* SR163 National Grid Site Manager authorization (or TP137 equivalent)
* NS-series courses completed (e.g. NS16/NS18/NS08) for National Grid competency.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* EUSR HSG47 (if excavation near buried HV cables required).
* Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
* CSCS Card - Manager level
* Full UK driving licence.
Required Experience:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Principal Site Manager, managing mid‑large scale engineering projects in the power or utilities sector (preferably substation or HV infrastructure)
* Strong familiarity with electricity transmission projects (132kv to 400kv) and environment requirements
* Leadership and site delivery under CDM regulations using NEC frameworks; proven risk & quality management abilities
