Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Associate and Business Developer to join our team. This is an exciting, experimental new role within our established, small business which will allow the right candidate to create and grow this role.
The ideal candidate will have business acumen, vision, creativity, initiative and be excited for the opportunities this role can give. You will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying opportunities whether they are in store, through partnerships or collaborations or via social media as well as being customer facing within the shop, helping to cover shifts when required.
You must have initiative and a can-do attitude and be able to work under your own direction. This is not a role for someone who needs daily management and waits to be told what to do.
This is an initial 3-month role for 3 days per week, which will be extended for the right candidate. The work location can be hybrid splitting time between the shop and home or fully shop based.
Duties
* Work with the owners to create a business development plan for the next 3 months
* Cost and present opportunities for instore improvements and be responsible for delivering approved initiatives
* Be responsible for the presentation of our products in store through eye catching packaging, merchandising and window displays
* Grow our social media presence and leverage the increased sales opportunities this will present whether via Instagram, YouTube, TikTok Shop etc becoming the social media face of the business
* Identify opportunities to collaborate with local businesses and suppliers to increase exposure and expand the brand
* Help to cover shifts within the shop, when required
Experience
* Proven track record of success in retail and sales development
* Proficient in social media platforms
* Understanding of branding and merchandising
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a small team

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
