This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board. BAM FM is seeking a School Catering Manager to join our team at Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater. Availability: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, term-time only. Salary: £15 per hour; overtime available.
Responsibilities
* Prepare meals in accordance with agreed recipes/methods
* Prepare ingredients under direction
* Adhere to HACCP and food safety regulations
* Maintain clean and dirty process separation
* Prepare food for transportation and decant/serve food when required
* Maintain food safety records using the current management system
* Refill and replace consumables; monitor and arrange storage of supplies
* Treat all customers with courtesy and consideration
* Work safely with kitchen equipment and address maintenance issues
* Maintain accurate stock levels of kitchen materials
* Assist in achieving financial targets and manage waste through correct product measurement
* Participate in training and development opportunities
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
* Contribute to team meetings and follow instructions from the management team and head office
Who are we looking for?
* Willingness to obtain a recognised catering qualification
* Desirable: Level 2 Hygiene Certificate
* Knowledge of health and safety practices in the kitchen
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Desirable: Good ICT skills
* Ability to use relevant equipment
* Awareness of COSHH regulations
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of health and hygiene procedures
* Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
