This is a full-time, permanent role caring for a large three-bedroom home, supporting two principals. The ideal candidate will be pet-friendly, as the family has a dog, and will be confident in maintaining the home to the very highest standards daily. Core duties will include all aspects of housekeeping, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and the care of different fabrics and finishes. In addition to housekeeping, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing light, healthy meals for the principals each day. The role requires someone with proven longevity in previous positions and a minimum of five years’ private household experience. Strong organisational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently are essential, as well as a positive and energetic attitude. A keen eye for detail and pride in their work will ensure the home is consistently maintained to a high standard. The working schedule will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, with flexibility required to cover occasional weekends. As the home is in a rural location, applicants must be drivers with a valid UK driving licence and their own vehicle. This is a live-out role, though accommodation may be offered for the right candidate. DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • Maintain all areas of the home to the highest standards • Carry out daily housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying • Manage all laundry and ironing, including the care of delicate fabrics and use of appropriate cleaning products • Change bed linen, make beds, and ensure bedrooms and bathrooms are consistently fresh and presentable • Organise wardrobes, cupboards, and storage areas • Prepare and cook light, healthy meals for the principals on a daily basis • Manage household supplies and keep stock of cleaning products and pantry essentials • Work independently, managing time effectively and prioritising daily tasks. • Provide flexibility to work weekends on occasion when required. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a private household • Pet-friendly and comfortable around dogs • Energetic, positive, and proactive approach to work • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • A confident driver with a valid UK driving licence and own vehicle • Provide flexibility to work weekends on occasion when required • Excellent English (spoken and written) • Eligibility to live and work in the UK • Excellent, checkable references
