The role As HR Officer, youll be at the heart of our site operations, supporting the HRBPs and Senior Management Team to ensure smooth and effective HR processes. You will lead and manage the HR Coordinator (Fresh) and be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and legal standards. Youll support and drive key HR initiatives including employee engagement, training & development, employee relations, and recruitment all while helping to build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. What you will be doing? Operational HR: Provide HR support across all levels of the factory and Transport, using KPIs to drive improvements. Employee Engagement: Promote and deliver engagement initiatives using tools such as the HWDB survey and recognition programs. Employee Relations: Guide and manage processes around discipline, performance, and grievances, in line with policy and company values. Resourcing: Collaborate with management to maintain optimal staffing levels and lead recruitment activities. Occupational Health & Well-being: Manage health referrals, surveillance, and well-being initiatives including mental health support. Training & Development: Coordinate training and support the delivery of performance development plans. Ethical & Audit Compliance: Act as the site lead for audits, ensuring all practices meet legal and customer standards. HR Administration: Oversee day-to-day HR administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. HR Projects: Assist HRBPs with business change projects and wider HR initiatives. Team Management: Line manage and develop the HR Coordinator (Fresh). Ad Hoc Duties: Support the business as required with additional HR responsibilities. What we want from you? CIPD Level 5 qualified Minimum 2 years experience in a similar HR role Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally manufacturing or FMCG Sound knowledge of employment law and upcoming legislation Strong influencing and communication skills Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities Relevant degree (preferred)
