We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join a company who are a Precision Engineering Company based in ST5 area, after a long-term employee has decided to move on for a new challenge
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30, Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the QMS, updating documentation, carrying our internal audits, representing the company in customer & third-party audits.
* Compiling the quality KPI’s and presenting them at a monthly management meeting.
* Processing both internal and external (customer) con-conformances and complaints, and compiling 8D reports.
* Managing the activity within the inspection room, ensuring the two inspectors are working efficiently to support products being manufactured by carrying out first off and final inspection.
* Assisting with inspection duties, including programming, and operating CMM’s using PC-DMIS.
* Producing inspection reports for customers, FAIR’s, PPAP’s control plans etc.
* Liaising with customers regarding quality topics, new projects, complaints etc.
Ideally you will have:
* Previous experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer role
* Experience working in precision engineering, aerospace or high-tolerance manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
* Experience conducting internal and external audits
* Experience handling customer complaints and 8D reports
* Strong knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS preferred)
* Experience producing FAIR and PPAP documentation
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers and internal teams
* A hands-on approach and strong leadership skills
