Are you a resilient, empathetic professional with a passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs? We’re seeking a Learning Mentor to join a dynamic PRU team, providing consistent, positive support to pupils facing barriers to mainstream education.

What you’ll do:

1. Build trusted relationships with pupils aged 11–16, offering emotional and academic support

2. Model positive behaviours and attitudes, setting clear boundaries and expectations

3. Support pupils with SEMH needs through tailored interventions and mentoring

4. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote progress and wellbeing

5. Help pupils re-engage with learning and prepare for transitions back to mainstream or specialist settings

What we’re looking for:

6. Proven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs

7. Calm, confident presence and strong behaviour management skills

8. Ability to be a consistent role model and advocate for vulnerable learners

9. Team player with a flexible, solution-focused approach

10. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
