Site Manager
Location: North West (covering Liverpool, Manchester & Lancashire)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Looking for a Site Manager role where no two days are the same?
Lead high-risk, high-impact rail projects across arboriculture, structures, and rope access - with real autonomy on site.
We’re looking for a Site Manager – Rail & Infrastructure to support the delivery of arboriculture, structure clearance, and IRATA works across the North.
This is a hands-on role in live rail environments, working closely with the Contracts Manager to deliver safety-critical projects efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
What you’ll do;
* Oversee day-to-day site operations across arboriculture, structure clearance, and rope access works
* Lead site teams, including arborists and IRATA operatives, to deliver work safely and efficiently
* Carry out site audits and ensure compliance with rail and Health & Safety standards
* Scope works, assess risks, and plan activities in complex or restricted-access environments
* Prepare task briefs, method statements, and safe systems of work
* Coordinate possessions and manage site activity to minimise disruption
* Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders on site
* Resolve issues quickly to maintain progress, quality, and compliance

What we’re looking for;
* Experience as a Site Manager within rail or infrastructure environments
* Arboriculture experience (essential)
* Experience with structure clearance and/or IRATA works (desirable)
* Strong understanding of safe systems of work, possession planning, and risk management
* SMSTS (essential)
* IOSH or NEBOSH (preferred)
* First Aid +F and COSS (preferred)
* Confident leader with strong organisational and communication skills
