Business Support Officer (HR and Administration) A Business Support Officer (HR and Administration) is required to support the City and Neighbourhood Services Department on a temporary basis, delivering efficient HR and administrative services in line with policy, legislation, and value-for-money principles. Location: 410 Linenhall Street, Belfast Hours: 37 per week Rate: £20.66 per hour Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support HR and administrative staff. Provide advice to managers and employees on HR policies, including recruitment, attendance, and grievance procedures. Prepare and analyse HR performance and compliance reports. Maintain accurate HR records, including Occupational Health and statutory documentation. Essential Criteria Education Third-level qualification in Business Studies, Human Resources, or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience. Experience Minimum 1 years relevant experience (2 years if no third-level qualification) in: HR policy guidance, recruitment, payroll, and compliance. Trade Union liaison. Attendance management, disciplinary, and resourcing processes. Day-to-Day Duties Lead a small HR team to meet service objectives. Produce HR reports (e.g. sickness absence, performance). Manage personnel issues in line with policy and legislation. Liaise with Occupational Health and support absence management. Support recruitment, inductions, and HR compliance.
