HR OFFICER (PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT)

Salary: Grade G – £39,152 to £42,839 per year, £20.29 to £22.20 per hour (pay award pending)
Hours: 37 hours per week (part‑time working could be considered)
Type: Permanent
Team Location: Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 1HU
Work arrangement: Hybrid; office attendance required 2–3 days each week.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing generalist HR support, including advising managers on employee relations matters and supporting sickness absence management, recruitment, onboarding, and policy development.
* Coordinating learning and development activity, identifying training needs, sourcing solutions, and maintaining a training plan.
* Working with managers and external providers to deliver high‑quality development opportunities.
* Managing and optimising the Learning Management System, ensuring an engaging user experience and accurate training records.
* Evaluating training effectiveness and using data to drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in a generalist HR role providing advice and support.
* Experience coordinating training or learning and development activity.
* Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* An HR qualification (CIPD Level 7) or significant relevant experience.
