We are working exclusively with a leading chilled food manufacturer that supply a range of products to retailers across the UK. They are looking to appoint experienced and proactive Quality professional as Quality Manager at their large facility in Hertfordshire

The role:
* Lead and manage the quality team.
* Train staff on quality standards, processes, and product specifications.
* Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems and procedures.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, BRC, and customer-specific protocols.
* Support internal and external audits (e.g., BRC, retailer audits).
* Oversee daily quality checks of inbound and outbound produce.
* Ensure produce meets quality specifications and compliance requirements (customer, retailer, and legislative standards).
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, rejections, and corrective actions.
* Work closely with procurement, production, warehouse, and commercial teams, and sometimes with suppliers to resolve issues.
* Identify and report quality issues or deviations from standards and take corrective actions.
* Provide regular quality performance reports and recommend improvements.
* Provide input on supplier performance and product specifications.
The candidate:
* At least 3 years experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role in a food manufacturing environment
* A Food Science degree is desirable.
* HACCP level 3 + and Food Safety level 3 +
* Excellent working knowledge of BRC.
