Our client is seeking skilled Slingers for a long term, high profile refit project.
Suitable candidates must hold a relevant Slinging card/qualification.
Previous marine/ship repair experience would be ideal, but experience gained from other heavy industries such as offshore, oil & gas, etc. will also be suitable.
Full SC Clearance is required and, once approved, you will be taken through the clearance process before being issued a start date. Due to the level of clearance and the specific contract, candidates must be British.
If you already hold full SC clearance, you will be required to obtain confirmation from the UKSV, and a transfer will be arranged.
Key Responsibilities
Safe slinging of loads in accordance with lifting plans
Working closely with supervisors and lifting teams to ensure safe and efficient operations
Inspecting lifting gear, slings, shackles, and accessories prior to use and reporting defects
Ensuring all lifting operations comply with LOLER, site safety rules, and method statements
Assisting with the movement, positioning, and installation of heavy components during the refit
Maintaining clear communication using approved hand signals and/or radio systems
Supporting general rigging and deck activities as required
Promoting and maintaining a strong health & safety culture at all timesRates and hours:

£40 - Back Shift
£41 - Sunday & Weekday Night Shift
£44.50- Sunday Back/Night Shift
PAYE:
£24.27 plus £2.93 Day Shift
£29.87 plus £3.60 Back Shift
£30.61 plus £3.69 Sunday & Weekday Night Shift
£33.23 plus £4.01 Sunday Back/Night Shift
