Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. 6 evening a week and some day work.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.
Full training will be given in the art of Indian cooking
Responsabilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is presented beautifully and served at the correct temperature
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
* Assist with meal preparation and food preparation tasks as needed
* Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
* Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to management
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* Previous experience in meal preparation, food preparation, or serving is advantageous
