Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance, and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. With over 140 years of combined experience, we are problem solvers in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Clean Water Capital Delivery Team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programs aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
Want to be a part of it?
You’ll be responsible for managing daily activities on our mains renewal schemes. The Site Manager will be part of our Operations Team, responsible for delivering Non-Core schemes for United Utilities.
You will be site-based, primarily north of Preston, with potential to work at other sites to cover for other site managers during holidays. Your remit includes leading and managing site teams, reporting to the Project Manager, setting clear targets, supporting SHEQ in toolbox talks and QA memos, liaising with clients and highways, coordinating resources to ensure daily productivity, and monitoring quality performance.
You will deliver schemes such as open cut, slip line, pipe bursting, and directional drilling, ensuring water quality regulations are met.
What you’ll bring
* Knowledge and experience of the water industry
* Water SHEA or CSCS certification
* Qualified Supervisor in NRSWA
* Valid UK driving license
* Experience managing subcontractors and direct teams
* SSSTS or above
* Ability to make decisions on site
