This role is part of the Enterprise Operations team in Lancaster University Information Systems Services (ISS). The contract is for 6 months (fixed term) until 31 July 2026.
The primary focus of the role is to support several medium sized projects through analysis, design, procurement, and delivery stages. We require experience with vendor solutions, migration of on‑prem services to cloud platforms, building integrations using APIs, and handling legacy codebases.
Responsibilities
* Analysis, design, procurement and delivery of medium sized projects.
* Support migration of on‑premises solutions to cloud.
* Build integrations between products and services using APIs.
* Maintain and refactor legacy codebases.
* Develop scalable C# .NET Core applications.
* Build user interfaces with Angular or similar frameworks.
* Develop and optimise SQL databases and stored procedures.
* Contribute to technology planning and decision making.
* Design and implement complex system architectures and solutions.
* Collaborate within Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Qualifications
* Experience with vendor solutions such as ERP, CRM, Facilities management.
* Experience migrating on‑prem solutions to the cloud.
* Complex system integration experience with internal/external systems.
* Strong C# .NET Core development skills.
* Angular or similar frameworks experience.
* SQL database design, stored procedure enhancement.
* Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management.
* A degree, professional qualification, or relevant career experience.
Benefits and Working Arrangements
The role is primarily based at Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible hybrid working options. Minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
For internal staff, a secondment may be considered. Please obtain line manager agreement.
