Overview Globeducate is seeking a Head of People & Culture for UK to lead, own and strengthen the People agenda across our UK schools. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with full accountability for UK People operations, governance and delivery. The postholder will act as the single point of accountability for People & Culture across the UK, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance and alignment with Group standards. Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer and partnering closely with UK Heads of School and the Group People team, this role combines strategic alignment with strong operational execution across multiple sites. Proven experience within UK education environments and confidence operating in a multi-school context are essential. Key Responsibilities UK People Governance & Operating Model Own and implement the UK People operating model, aligned with Group standards. Establish clear governance, accountability and consistency across all UK schools. Act as the senior People lead in the UK, ensuring strong coordination between schools and Group. Maintain oversight of People risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and reporting. Payroll & HR Operations Hold full accountability for UK payroll governance, accuracy and compliance. Work directly with payroll providers and Finance to ensure timely and accurate processing. Standardise and strengthen HR administrative processes across UK sites. Ensure robust employee record management and full compliance with statutory requirements. Recruitment & Workforce Planning Own end-to-end recruitment across UK schools and central roles. Ensure safer recruitment standards are consistently applied across all sites. Partner with Heads of School on workforce planning and organisational design. Build strong talent pipelines within the UK education market. Talent, Performance & Capability Lead the UK annual talent review and succession planning processes. Ensure consistent and high-quality performance management practices. Coordinate professional development initiatives aligned with school and Group priorities. Strengthen leadership capability across UK schools. Employee Relations & Compliance Act as senior advisor on complex employee relations matters. Ensure legally sound, proportionate and pragmatic handling of cases. Provide direct guidance to Heads of School on sensitive People issues. Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, safer recruitment and education-specific regulations. Engagement & Culture Lead the annual employee engagement survey across UK schools. Translate insight into actionable improvement plans with school leadership. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional standards. Embed consistent People practices that support retention and performance. Person Specification Significant HR leadership experience within UK education (schools, academies, multi-academy trusts or similar), ideally across multiple sites. Proven accountability for UK payroll oversight. Strong knowledge of UK employment law within education environments. Demonstrated experience operating in a hands-on, operational leadership role. Experience strengthening governance, consistency and delivery across multi-site organisations. Strong track record in employee relations, talent management and workforce planning. Excellent influencing skills and confidence working with senior leaders. CIPD Level 7 preferred. Minimum of 8 years’ HR experience, ideally within education or a multi-site organisation.
