About the Role
Ashley Kate HR is partnering with a well-established manufacturing and distribution client in Bedford to recruit a HR Manager. The company is a small business with a global presence, passionate about their products, sustainability, and the environment.
The HR Manager will oversee the entire HR function, managing a generalist remit. Responsibilities include reviewing and developing policies and processes, reporting on HR metrics, attending senior leadership meetings, managing appraisals, coaching and advising management on processes, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, particularly in leadership development, and experience in fostering a positive working culture aligned with strong people values.
About You
* Proven experience as a generalist HR Manager
* Experience working independently in a standalone role
* Background in private sector, preferably manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment
* CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
* Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills
