As part of this exciting growth, Autism NI is seeking a dynamic and organised Fundraising Events Officer to lead on the planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns across Northern Ireland.
Your new role
The Fundraising and Events Officer will report to the Head of Fundraising andmunications, and will be responsible for securing ie to support Autism NI’s ongoing work and new projects. You’ll manage a calendar of fundraising events, build relationships with schools andmunity groups, and coordinate signature campaigns and third-party events. From concept to delivery, you’ll ensure every event is impactful, well-organised, and aligned with fundraising targets.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering Autism NI’s annual programme of fundraising events
2. Managing school andmunity fundraising activities across NI
3. Securing sponsorships, gifts in kind, and external event support
4. Maximising ie from third-party events ( Belfast Marathon)
5. Recruiting and managing event volunteers
6. Creatingmunication plans and promotional materials
7. Coordinating social media and online presence for events
8. Maintaining detailed records to support future planning
9. Supporting other fundraising activities as needed
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll be a confident organiser with a flair formunication and a passion for making a difference. You’ll bring:
10. A degree-level qualification
11. Events management experience
12. Strong written and verbalmunication skills
13. Experience using Microsoft Office, email, and social media
14. Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation
15. Access to personal transport and a full driving licence
Desirable:
16. Experience in a fundraising position
17. Proven success working to monetary targets
18. Professional qualification ( CIM or Institute of Fundraising)
