Catering Manager - Gravesend

Academics Ltd is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Gravesend to recruit an experienced and motivated Catering Manager for a permanent full-time, term-time only position starting in September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on and organised Catering Manager to take responsibility for a busy school catering service, leading a team to deliver high‑quality, nutritious meals while ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across the kitchen.
As Catering Manager, you will oversee the full catering provision, ensuring food quality, compliance, staffing, and budget control are all delivered to a high standard. You will play a key role in shaping menus, maintaining standards, and ensuring an efficient and positive dining experience for students and staff.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a Catering Manager or senior school/contract catering role
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen compliance
* Confident leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
* Good organisational ability with experience managing budgets and stock
* Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene (or equivalent) desirable
* A proactive and flexible approach to working in a busy school environment
