Job Purpose:
The Recruiter is responsible for the full life-cycle of recruitment processes within the healthcare facility. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing top-tier healthcare professionals in roles that match their qualifications and career goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and the unique challenges of healthcare staffing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization.
* Manage the full recruitment process, including posting job openings, updating position details when necessary, reviewing resumes, conducting thorough telephone and video interviews, making job offers, and negotiating starting salaries while providing a positive candidate experience.
* Utilize both standard and creative sourcing strategies to attract top-quality candidates and build a pipeline of healthcare talent.
* Maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
* Implement creative ways to aggressively recruit well-qualified applicants by leveraging online recruiting resources and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to identify and recruit the very best candidates.
* Monitor applicant status and enter updates into the ATS and maintain accurate list of open positions.
* Provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere when interviewing candidates to foster a positive candidate experience.
* Screen applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements and conduct necessary background checks.
* Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
* Manage and coordinate communication with candidates, including providing complete, accurate, and inspiring information about the company and position.
* Prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed information about the health facility, the department's culture, and expectations.
* Perform detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and review results with hiring managers.
* Utilize strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals across all organizational levels and backgrounds.
* Contributes and develops standard operating procedures for recruitment, hiring and on-boarding practices.
* Assist with additional HR Department duties as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business related field of study.
* Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, with at least 1 year in healthcare recruiting.
* Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its various roles and responsibilities.
* Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including HRIS and ATS.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Adept at problem-solving and negotiation.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
