CDM Site Manager / Site Supervisor (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced CDM Site Manager / Supervisor to oversee site activity on a live project. This role requires someone confident managing subcontractors, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring work is carried out in line with CDM regulations.
The position will involve being present on site to supervise contractors, coordinate activities, and ensure all teams are working safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing site activity and subcontractors
* Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and site safety procedures
* Conducting toolbox talks and issuing permits to work
* Monitoring correct use of PPE and general safe working practices
* Liaising with Health & Safety representatives
* Checking work progress and ensuring contractors are carrying out tasks correctly
* Supporting general site coordination and minor project management tasks
Requirements
* Strong understanding of site safety procedures
* CSCS card preferred
* Ability to work independently and manage subcontractors on site
* Team player with a flexible approach
* Typical hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (may vary depending on site activity)
* Flexibility for 3–5 days depending on project needs
* Potential for additional projects or longer-term opportunities for the right candidate
This is a relatively steady supervisory role where the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for ensuring safe working practices and maintaining site oversight.
