We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and people-focused Junior Internal Recruiter to help support the growth of our retail and sales teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their recruitment career who wants to develop their skills, learn from experienced leaders, and make an impact in a fast-paced, supportive environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation to grow into a trusted recruitment professional over time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the recruitment process from advertising roles to coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication
2. Screen candidates by telephone, conducting engaging and thorough initial calls to assess suitability and build strong relationships
3. Spend a high proportion of time on the phone, talking to candidates interested in sales and retail roles, providing them with a great first impression of REL Group
4. Assist with reviewing applications and identifying strong potential candidates for retail and sales teams
5. Help manage and maintain candidate pipelines using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter
6. Schedule interviews and provide a smooth, professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers
7. Support employer brand activities, representing REL Group and the Advantage Smollan family positively in all interactions
8. Maintain accurate data and reports to support recruitment activity and decision-making
9. Contribute to improving recruitment processes and supporting wider team projects
10. Build your understanding of recruitment strategy, retail and sales business needs, and talent planning
Key Skills and Attributes
11. Strong people skills and high emotional intelligence, with a genuine interest in connecting with and engaging people over the phone
12. Confident and comfortable talking with candidates regularly and handling high volumes of telephone screening
13. Eager to learn, open to feedback, and ready to develop new skills
14. Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
15. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering an excellent candidate experience
16. Confident communicator, both written and especially verbal
17. Comfortable using technology and open to learning new systems and tools (experience with ATS or LinkedIn Recruiter is a plus but not essential)
18. Positive, proactive mindset and a willingness to support the team wherever needed
19. Interest in retail, sales, and understanding how great people drive business success

Working Flexibility
This role offers a largely remote working setup, with just 2–3 days per month in the office for team meetings and collaboration. You’ll also enjoy flexibility to work around core business hours, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
