Administrative Officers - Belfast

About the role:
1. £12.31 per hour
2. Monday to Friday, (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
3. Part time or full time hours
4. Location, would be anywhere in Belfast Trust area
5. Temporary positions until 2nd January 2026
What you'll be doing in this role:
6. Be responsible for ensuring that all new referrals received are registered appropriately and accurately.
7. Monitor waiting list to ensure patients do not breech the agreed waiting time.
8. Ensure that the partial booking procedure is adhered to in a consistent manner.
9. Ensure that when adding patients to the Physiotherapy waiting list that all referral details are correct as this reflects the Outpatient waiting times.
10. Make appointments appropriately, ensuring patients with the same clinical priority are seen in chronological order, to issue appointment letters.
11. Ensure that clinic capacity is utilised, taking action in partnership with the administrative manager.
12. Liaise with Physiotherapists / GPs / other specialists when making appointments.
13. Book Physiotherapy appointments in conjunction with consultant appointments.
What you'll need for this role:
14. 4 GCSE’s at grade C /4 or above to include English Language or equivalent qualification and one year’s administrative / clerical experience.
15. OR NVQ Level II in Administration and one year’s administrative / clerical experience.
16. OR A minimum of two years’ administrative / clerical experience.
17. RSA / OCR Stage 2 Typing / word processing (parts 1 & 2) or equivalent qualification, or have a minimum of six months word processing experience.
18. Experience of MS Office Packages, including Access, Excel and Word and Healthcare applications.
19. Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. ‘‘Where disability prohibits driving, this criteria will be waived if the applicant is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.’
