Job Title: Working Site Manager – School Cleaning
Location: Holywood, Co. Down
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday (Full-time)
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Working Site Manager to lead the cleaning operations at a school in Holywood, Co. Down. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Manager or Senior Supervisor with a strong background in school cleaning and housekeeping.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for maintaining exceptional cleaning standards across the site while actively supporting and working alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations across the school site
* Lead, motivate and support the on-site cleaning team
* Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards in line with agreed specifications
* Plan and manage staff rotas, holidays and absence cover
* Carry out regular quality inspections and audits
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
* Manage cleaning materials, equipment and stock control
* Undertake hands-on cleaning duties as required
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience as a Cleaning Manager or Supervisor
* Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
* Ability to manage a team effectively and maintain high morale
* Full UK driving licence
Preferred Criteria
* Previous experience managing cleaning services within a school or educational setting
* Experience overseeing large teams
* IOSH Managing Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures within schools
