Campaign and Events Officer (Communications) Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful Salary: £29,462 per annum Hours: 4-day working week Contract: Permanent (subject to funding) Location: Hybrid - Home working and Belfast office (minimum 2 days per week) Charity Jobs NI is delighted to be working in partnership with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a creative and organised Campaign and Events Officer (Communications). This role will particularly appeal to candidates currently working as a Communications Officer, Events and Campaigns Officer, Marketing and Events Executive, Engagement Officer or Campaigns Coordinator, who enjoy bringing campaigns to life and delivering engaging events that make a real impact. Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful is an independent charity dedicated to connecting people with nature. Through education, engagement and empowerment, the organisation inspires people across Northern Ireland to take climate action, improve local environments and care for the places they love. About the Role This is a dynamic and varied communications role focused on delivering high-quality campaigns and events across the full range of Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful programmes. From formal award ceremonies and stakeholder events, to community clean-ups and digital campaign launches, you will play a central role in planning, promoting and delivering activities that engage volunteers, partners, schools, businesses and communities across Northern Ireland. Alongside event delivery, you will create compelling written and visual content for websites, social media, newsletters and print materials. You will develop campaign asset packs for partners, manage event communications and ensure the organisation's programmes are promoted in a clear, consistent and engaging way. The role requires regular travel across Northern Ireland to support event delivery, photo calls and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Campaign Delivery Support the planning and delivery of communication campaigns across KNIB programmes, ensuring targets, deadlines and budgets are met. Create engaging content for websites, newsletters and social media channels. Develop campaign asset packs for partners and stakeholders. Events Management Maintain an up-to-date calendar of all Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful events. Organise a range of public-facing and stakeholder events, including Green Flag Awards and other recognition ceremonies. Manage venue research, supplier liaison and event specifications. Administer invitations and RSVPs using platforms such as Eventbrite. Coordinate marketing materials and event collateral. Develop detailed event running orders and brief internal teams. Lead on-site event set-up and fulfil hosting duties, including guest reception and speaker coordination. Communications and Administration Respond to general and technical enquiries as required. Produce reports on activities undertaken. Represent Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful at relevant meetings. Support wider communications activity as required. Person Specification Qualifications and Experience Essential A relevant degree-level qualification or at least three years' equivalent experience. At least one year's professional experience in a communications role, including creating content for social media, websites and newsletters. At least one year's experience in events management, including budget oversight, venue coordination, supplier management and invitation processes. Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office, Canva and MailChimp. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing competing priorities and working to deadlines. Full driving licence and/or access to suitable transport. Desirable Experience working in the voluntary or environmental sector. Experience delivering communications campaigns. Experience working with a range of stakeholders and partners. Staff are contracted to 37.5 hours per week but benefit from this enhanced working pattern.
