Joining Norse Group will provide you with a fulfilling role, becoming part of a team that supplies locally sourced, nutritious, and healthy meals to residents within our care homes. The opportunity:

* Permanent

* 40 hours per week

* Shift Pattern:

* Week 1: Tuesday 8.30-5.00, Wednesday 10.00-6.30, Thursday 7.30-4.00, Saturday 10.00-6.30, Sunday 10.00-6.30
* Week 2: Monday 7.30-6.30, Tuesday 7.30-6.30, Wednesday 7.30-6.30, Friday 7.30-6.30

A day in the life:

You will be an integral part of our residents’ homes through daily interaction, not just at mealtimes but throughout your working day. Our goal is to ensure the wonderful world of food is accessible to all, including those with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties. The social aspect of dining and nutritious meals is fundamental to residents' health and wellbeing.

As Cook Manager, you will manage the kitchen and catering staff, including preparing, cooking, and serving food to residents.

The onsite care team will provide detailed catering handovers to ensure a collaborative, person-centered approach to care.

Our central team will support you in managing food safety, health and safety, and food allergens, while our menu, promotions, and compliance teams will assist with menu cycles, nutritional info, IDDSI menus, and promotional materials, allowing you to focus on food preparation.

Our electronic tablet will facilitate communication and management through our kitchen system, reducing paperwork.

What are we looking for from you?

You should have experience working in a busy kitchen environment, with an organized approach, and a good understanding of the food industry and textured modified diets (IDDSI), along with working within set budgets.

A passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential, along with strong communication skills and an adaptable work approach.
