About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our friendly team, working from our Northern region based at Alston Grange, Longridge, PR3 3BD, on a fixed-term contract until December 2026.
The key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and quality standards on site
* Coordinating labour and resources to meet build programmes on larger developments and scheduling trades efficiently
* Implementing quality control procedures and inspections, rectifying defects to avoid additional costs or delays
* Monitoring and controlling production costs and approving payments to contractors and trades
* Conducting plot inspections with Local Building Inspectors or NHBC, and taking corrective actions to minimize RI’s/BRI’s
* Leading toolbox talks and on-site briefings to promote best practices
* Proactively managing risk, build sequencing, and overall site quality
* Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and partners to ensure project timelines
* Collaborating with Sales to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction
* Maintaining high standards of site presentation
* Conducting New Home Demos with Sales Advisors and customers, addressing questions and issues prior to legal completion
* Supporting the Contracts Manager in ensuring the construction team is well-resourced and guided, with clear responsibilities and support for training and workload management
* Exemplifying professionalism, safety, and quality in all aspects of work
About You
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level 5 in Construction Management, or experienced tradesman with comprehensive construction experience
* Extensive experience managing build programmes and key priorities
* Proven leadership skills with a track record of delivering quality and targets through effective team management
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining details and ensuring compliance
* Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities to adapt to changing needs
* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, housebuilding, and relevant legislation such as Health and Safety, NHBC standards, and Building Regulations
* Experience dealing with customers, providing information, resolving issues, and explaining company procedures
