Job Title : Cleaning Site Manager

Location: Ellistown, Coalville

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday; flexible start/ finish times to business needs

Hours: 40 hrs a week

Salary: 33k - 35k per annum (DOE)

Contract: Permanent position

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Site Cleaning Manager to oversee the Operational delivery of janitorial services at the site, building excellent relationships with the client and your team whilst maintaining a high-quality service output.

1. An understanding of cleaning, waste and forklift truck activities.
2. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of site in terms of layout, fit-out, working hours and operating times in order to create and adapt adequate cleaning schedules.
3. Manage all staff on-site, ensuring a consistent delivery of hours, in-line with the site budget
4. Administer payroll for hourly paid staff both direct employees and agency in-line with company procedures and targets
5. Create and promote a positive safety culture on-site where hazards are proactively recorded and a lessons learnt approach taken to limit accidents and incidents.
6. Have a thorough understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Control of Substances Hazardous to health.
7. Achieve excellent cleaning standards, exceeding client expectations, evidenced through the weekly cleaning standards audit undertaken with the client. Acting upon any potential failings and opportunities for improvement in a timely manner
8. Drive continuous improvements by seeking innovations, identifying efficiencies and negotiating with customers, staff and suppliers
9. Maintain adequate stock levels and place orders as required and within the site budget
10. Ensure all equipment is well clean, well-maintained and safe, as well as It being operated in-line with the requirements of site

Health and Safety responsibilities

11. Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
12. Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
13. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
14. Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system

What are we looking for?

15. Experience working in a Cleaning/ Healthcare setting
16. Experience in Management, ideally of large teams
17. Somone adaptable, motivated and organised with excellent timekeeping
18. An engaging and enthusiastic personality with staff, clients and stakeholders
19. Commercial awareness with experience of holding budgetary control
20. IOSH Managing Safety or comparable qualification - essential, or willingness to complete within first month of employment
21. Must be able to complete a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check
