Following the establishment of an inhouse HR department we are seeking a full or part time HR manager to join us to continue work to embed good practices and support the development of the HR coordinator.
In addition, due to an expiring lease on our current premises a key aspect of the role will be being part of the project team working on an office move for the ITIA in Q4 2026.

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a fixed term full or part-time HR Manager, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Services. As the most senior HR Practitioner within the ITIA, the principal purpose of the HR Manager role is to manage the organisation’s HR strategy and plans, culture, values, policies and processes to enable our people to operate effectively.
The role is pivotal in recruiting, managing, developing and retaining diverse talent so that the ITIA has the capacity, capability, commitment and culture to produce and sustain high performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Advising and supporting managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness & absence; and disciplinary & grievance procedures.
• Monitoring, updating and advising team members on all HR policies and processes to ensure they are adhered to and effectively communicated.
• Recommending and developing employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship including making recommendations on best practice and legislation.
• Managing day to day HR requirements for the ITIA with support from HR Coordinator.
• Overseeing recruitment, selection and onboarding/induction process.
• Reviewing all recruitment processes and practices to ensure all vacancies are filled in the most cost and time-efficient way.
• Managing the Training Plan and Policy.
• Managing the HR budget.
• Being an ambassador for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Health and Wellbeing.
• Leading the EDI working group and working with external stakeholders to create and execute meaningful initiatives as per the EDI calendar each year including around wellbeing.
• Being an ambassador for Wellbeing ensuring practices are appropriately reflected across our activities.
• Overseeing employee surveys and suggesting actionable insights to improve employees’ experience.
• Overseeing exit interviews and making actionable recommendations based on data.
• Visibly demonstrating the ITIA Values and ensuring that they are embedded throughout the business.
• Assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive cultural, behaviours, values and team building programme for the team, in close consultation with the senior executive leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
ESSENTIAL:
• A proven track record of HR management in end-to-end HR positions, operating at both a strategic and operational level.
• Evidence of continuous improvement of a HR department; ensuring that the organisation’s structure and people are set up to deliver success.
• Experience of successfully developing and embedding organisational culture and values within a workforce.
• A track record of maintaining and updating HR policies and processes, including looking for ways to continuously improve.
• Excellent influencing and communications skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively, credibly and confidently with a wide range of senior stakeholders, including Executive and Board colleagues, both inside and outside the organisation.
• Strong communication skills to influence the Executive Team on complex issues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Minimum Level 5 CIPD or equivalent experience.
DESIRABLE:
• An interest in and understanding of tennis (or other elite sports)
• Line management experience in a fast-paced organisation
• Mental Health First Aider
