As part of our continued expansion, RSE is looking for a Site Manager to support successful delivery of projects within the UK Water industry. Reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for controlling and managing all RSE activities on site, including sub‑contractor activities, and ensuring all works are performed in accordance with the specifications and relevant safety standards. This position will require flexibility on working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.
Responsibilities
* Instruct, direct, control and allocate work to trade operatives and apprentices.
* Ensure all activities on site comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management requirements.
* Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, filed correctly and available for inspection.
* Plan and organise work to be carried out safely and efficiently.
* Carry out competence assessments, adhering to the specified timetable set by the Company.
* Discuss matters related to work with trade operatives and contractors.
* Liaise with other departmental sections and trades.
* Engage on a day‑to‑day basis with other contractors on site.
* Update the Project Manager on contract progress and future resource requirements.
Qualifications
* Time served and fully qualified in a relevant Electrical, Mechanical or Civil trade – City & Guilds, MA or equivalent.
* Experience within the water sector (highly advantageous).
* Demonstrable experience at a supervisory level.
* SMSTS (Mandatory).First Aid at Work (Mandatory).
* Awareness of all Health & Safety practices.
* Ability to manage changing priorities on site.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
