Job Title: Learning Mentor Contract Type: Perm Contract Term: Term Time Only INSET Days Working Hours: 30 hours Start Date: 3rd September 2025 About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children's emotional, social, and academic development and who thrives in a collaborative school environment. As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils, staff, and families to remove barriers to learning and help children achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to pupils who need additional support. Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance, behaviour, and engagement. Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support. Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews. Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting. Be empathetic, patient, and skilled in building trusting relationships. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
