Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: Build strong relationships across internal teams and suppliers, providing expert technical advice. Ensure accurate management of allergy, nutritional, and lifestyle data, including reporting against nutritional targets. Review and validate technical data for new products and product improvements, ensuring full compliance with Whitbread policies and guidelines. Maintain robust product specifications, ensuring accuracy of provenance, quality requirements and adherence to relevant standards. Support Whitbread’s Force for Good strategy through technical involvement in audits and compliance initiatives. Review food and drink menus for legality and accuracy across relevant markets. Support food safety, legality, and quality investigations, including complaints and incident follow‑up. Contribute to the development and implementation of NSF and Whitbread technical guidelines and standards. Qualifications Degree (or equivalent experience) in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field. Experience within a technical or development function in food manufacturing, retail or hospitality. Strong knowledge of food labelling legislation and specification management. Excellent communication skills, strong numeracy, and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a client‑facing role. Advanced Excel skills and competence with web‑based specification and supplier management systems.
