We're looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at Ocean Living Care Home. This is a rewarding part-time role where your meals will bring warmth, comfort, and nourishment to our residents every day.
About Ocean Living
Ocean Living is a small, 14-bed residential care home set on the seafront with stunning views over Mumbles Bay. We provide high-quality, person-centred care for older adults, including those living with dementia. With our close-knit community feel, every meal and every moment makes a real difference.
Your Role
As our Cook, you'll play a vital part in daily life at Ocean Living by:
* Preparing and serving fresh, home-cooked meals
* Adapting menus to suit residents' individual dietary needs (including allergies and specialist diets)
* Working within a set budget while maintaining quality and variety
* Ensuring all food hygiene and safety standards are met
* Listening to residents' feedback and making mealtimes something to look forward to
What We're Looking For
Passion for cooking and caring about residents' wellbeing
Experience in catering or cooking in a similar setting (care home, school, or small kitchen preferred)
Knowledge of special diets and allergens
Food Hygiene Level 2 (essential)
Food Hygiene Level 3 and HACCP (preferred)
