Overview
Raytheon UK's Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) is looking for Senior Media Leads to support media development for training materials. Responsibilities include producing interactive media for training courses in accordance with Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide, and developing interactive media in Unity using 3D assets provided by 3D developers. The role involves building interactive functionality as part of the training delivery resource, creating media / animation sequences / eLearning / virtual environments, asset management and workflow planning, and visualising media along a timeline. The candidate must comply with Raytheon and Customer policies, be flexible for travel within the UK as needed, and champion a culture of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement. Additional duties may be required to support CMDC Training Service. The ideal candidate has a background in interactive media design for digital learning, works well in a standardised development environment, thinks creatively, collaborates well, and is detail oriented.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development of interactive media for training courses in Unity using supplied 3D assets.
* Build interactive functionality and contribute to media and eLearning content creation (graphics, animation sequences, virtual environments).
* Manage media assets and plan workflow, visualising media on a timeline.
* Adhere to Raytheon and Customer policies and collaborate with other areas within Raytheon as required.
* Support Health and Safety obligations for self and colleagues and maintain a culture of EHS compliance and continuous improvement.
* Travel to other sites within the UK may be required.
* Perform any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.
Qualifications
* Required education or experience: A qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or a related field at minimum QCF Level 4 or equivalent.
* 2 years' experience in creating and developing media content with intermediate proficiency in 3D modelling / Unity development and/or Adobe Creative Cloud / Articulate 360.
* Must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
Desirable
* Experience in developing interactive training (eLearning, multimedia).
* Understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / WebGL.
* Experience with Adobe CC Suite including Photoshop / Illustrator.
* Recent experience in training design and development.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures.
* Knowledge of web design standards, responsive design and UI / UX design.
* Desire for a higher qualification: QCF Level 6 (Degree) or equivalent.
