Freight Sales Executive - Job Description
Streamline Search is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company with nearly 50 years of experience in the Freight and Logistics industry. Based in Tilbury, in the heart of the Southeast shipping industry, they handle import and export cargos via multimodal means - Air, Sea, Road, & Rail. They are seeking a proactive Sales & Development Executive with experience across all modes of transport to join their busy team.
1. Source your own business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
2. Generate new sales, including FCL / LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight, both import and export.
3. Work flexibly, both in the office and in the field.
4. Bring in your own transferable business, which is a definite advantage.
5. Complete quotations accurately with correct clauses.
6. Possess at least 2 years' experience in selling sea, air, and road freight in a forwarding environment.
7. Have experience in sales and development.
8. Maintain good overall knowledge of the global freight industry.
9. Have strong telesales experience.
10. Pay strong attention to detail.
11. Possess good communication skills and a friendly personality.
12. Be competent in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
13. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 0900-1700 hrs.
