Randstad C&P are actively seeking a Site Manager to join an established regional contractor in Salisbury. The position will be joining an ongoing scheme managing the internal packages and completing the project before being given more schemes to lead from a managerial perspective. This role will provide managers with a great wealth of working on different projects, as well as developmental career opportunities and joining a warm and welcoming team to work alongside. The role can pay a beneficial salary and offer an additional package.
This role requires experience managing previous commercial projects, such as schools, hospitals, leisure, or other generalist commercial schemes, managing projects of up to £2m as a Number One site manager. The role will provide an exciting and stimulating challenge, so successful applicants must also be passionate about construction and driven to complete projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing protocols, and conducting regular safety inspections.
2. Uphold quality control by continuously overseeing operations to meet construction standards and adhere to specifications.
3. Monitor and control the project budget, addressing any overruns promptly.
4. Develop and maintain a construction schedule, making necessary adjustments for timely completion.
5. Act as the primary liaison between the construction site and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and addressing issues.
6. Coordinate with subcontractors, manage relationships, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
7. Secure necessary permits, ensure regulatory compliance, and address challenges promptly.
8. Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
9. Facilitate the final inspection and ensure a smooth handover of the completed project to the client.
