Secondary Learning Mentor
If you’re passionate about helping young people with confidence, motivation and emotional resilience, this Secondary Learning Mentor role in South Tyneside could be an excellent step. You’ll work with pupils who need extra encouragement to stay engaged with school life.
What you’ll be doing as a Learning Mentor
* Supporting pupils who need help with focus, confidence or organisation
* Running short intervention sessions
* Working closely with pastoral and SEND teams
* Building positive, trusting relationships with students
* Encouraging good behaviour and routines

* Someone patient, calm and supportive
* Graduates in psychology, youth work or social sciences
* Individuals who communicate clearly and are good listeners
* Anyone able to build trust with teenagers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
